We are Josh & Micah DeVries, a husband and wife filmmaking duo.
We create intentional, timeless wedding films that capture the heart and love our couples share with one another. We aim to preserve the joy, love, emotion and beauty of your wedding day on film for you to cherish for a lifetime.

Josh was born just outside of Chicago, but grew up overseas in Holland until he was 18 years old. He returned to the states in 2006, where he eventually landed in Lynchburg, Virginia. He and Micah met while both studying Theatre in college and they were married in 2012.
From a young age, Josh has had a passion for filmmaking and story-telling. In 2015, Josh jumped in with both feet and created DeVries Productions, a wedding cinema company. By the following year, Micah had joined him in the venture and they both became full-time wedding filmmakers. A highly creative person, Josh is fueled by the arts and enjoys the many technical aspects of video production. He is fueled by philosophy and art.
In his free time, you’ll usually find Josh playing gypsy jazz guitar or working on a creative writing project while enjoying a glass of whiskey. As you would expect, he and Micah are huge movie lovers and enjoy getting into a good movie or new tv series!

Micah was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, which is still her favorite place on earth! Although she dabbled in the arts and studied theatre in college, she knew very little about the world of cinema until Josh decided he wanted to start a film company. Over time her own passion for film began to grow and in 2016, Micah joined Josh as the other half to DeVries Productions, both handling the client side of the business as well as filming alongside Josh on wedding days.
As a natural “people person”, Micah loves that her work allows her to connect and build lasting relationship with the couples she’s privileged to work with.
In her spare time, Micah enjoys making memories with Josh and their three kids. She finds joy in small rituals such as morning coffee in her sun room. She considers herself a “not-so-serious” runner and enjoys participating in road races — but just for fun!

We have been married for almost 10 years and have 3 awesome kids — Evangeline (Evie), Shiloh & Arjen (Ari). This is our family!
