Sarah & Sam | The Delamater House, New Smyrna Beach

Ahhhh, friends! We are so over the moon excited to finally be sharing this very special wedding with you! This film is so dear to our hearts because not only did we have the opportunity to travel to New Smyrna Beach, Florida to film this GORGEOUS, botanical dream of a wedding, but the bride, Sarah, happens to be one of our close friends from college!! Ok... allow me to tell you a little story.

Josh and I both studied Theatre Arts in college where we met our friend, Sarah. Sarah is one of those people that you meet and feel an instant connection with. With her huge smile and bubbly personality, she immediately lights a room and makes you feel like you've been friends for years. The moment I met her, I knew I wanted to be her friend! Sarah, Josh, and I all became a part of the same friend group, and Josh and I, along with some other wonderful theater folks, even traveled to her parent's house at Cocoa Beach one year for Spring Break. After college we kept up as best we could but admittedly we lost touch for a couple years as life got busy for the both of us. Fast-forward to the summer of 2017 when I got a text from Sarah saying that she was engaged to an incredible guy (EEEK!) and that she had heard from a mutual friend that we were now in the wedding videography business. Sarah & Sam had been struggling to find a videographer that fit their vision in their area, and when she heard that we were full-time videographers, she looked up our website and immediately knew she wanted us to film her wedding. Of course we were SO thrilled and honored to film such a special friend's wedding and in a new location for us! (We love to travel to new places!) Plus, this wedding was going to be a BIG college reunion for us since lots of our old friends would be there. To say we were excited would be an understatement!

Sarah has always had great taste, so we were not the least bit surprised to see how beautifully her wedding came together. The lush green, exotic tones meshed with violet and peach florals made for the most perfect color palette. And the natural botanical setting made our videographer hearts so happy!! We couldn't get enough footage of the beautiful environment around us! We also loved the fun personal touches that Sarah & Sam included, such as providing each guest with a personalized classic coke bottle to toast with at the reception. So fun!

One great thing about filming a wedding full of dancers and theater people is that the dance floor is bound to be LIT. Sarah & Sam's reception dance floor certainly did not disappoint! From a breakout dance to Thriller to a full dance off between Sarah & Sam (both of which are highlighted in their film!), there was always something fun and entertaining going on!

Traveling to Florida and filming Sarah & Sam's wedding was truly a highlight from our year! We were able to meet up with old friends, meet new friends, and most importantly, we were able to document the most special day of Sarah & Sam's life. We hope you enjoy watching their beautiful love story unfold!
